Pilates helps the body and mind to connect through controlled movement exercises that enable your body to increase strength, stamina, flexibility, improve posture and coordination, reduce stress and relieves tension and back pain.  
Whether you are a beginner or more experienced, the technique and exercises delivered will lead to improved muscle tone, core strength, a leaner body, better range of movement and improve general well-being.  Pilates enhances any form of exercising and everyday living.  

Movement in Mind Pilates offers group classes and 1:1 sessions that are tailored to meet individual needs in a warm and friendly environment.

About Me

As a qualified Body Control Pilates Teacher, my passion is to help people achieve a healthier and more productive life by enabling them to move better and feel stronger, creating a better sense of well-being.  
I was introduced to Pilates about 15 years ago when I was working in a corporate environment experiencing constant back pain, stiff joints and high levels of stress.   Pilates helped to strengthen my body, improve my posture, flexibility and lower my stress levels.  As a result, I have more energy and stamina for other types of exercise such as running longer distances and juggling everyday life particularly after childbirth.  I use my experience and passion to provide a wide range of clients across all age groups with progressive controlled movement exercises based on their needs.

I thoroughly enjoy my Pilates classes with Mariella at Movement in Mind Pilates. Mariella is a very talented Pilates instructor who has an incredible understanding of the human body ensuring she can help you work muscles you didn't even know you had!  She takes time to ensure you understand each exercise and is very attentive, making sure you are in the correct position and not putting any unnecessary strain on your body.  After each class I feel an incredible sense of release and my body is certainly much better for attending these classes.  I can't recommend her enough.
